Veterinary Care Team

Christina Spears, DVM, CVA

Dr. Christina Spears leads the team at Park Animal Hospital and Wellness Center. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She always loved animals and competed in horseback riding events in her teenage years. Her summers spent with the horses led her to veterinary medicine. Dr. Spears is a 1997 graduate of the University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina before moving with her family to Colorado in 2007. She has worked locally in Highlands Ranch for the past 4 years. Dr. Spears has pursued further training in holistic medicine, becoming a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist in 2002 with the International Veterinary Acupuncuture Society. She completed Traditional Chinese Medicine herbal training in 2008 through A Time to Heal. She also works with homotoxicology, Western herbals medicine, nutritional therapies and homeopathy.


Leslie Morgan, DVM

A native of South Dakota, Dr. Morgan is a 2011 graduate of the University of Wisconsin College of Veterinary Medicine.  She was inspired to become a veterinarian by her grandmother.  She received her undergraduate degree in biology from South Dakota State University in 2007. During school, she worked as a kennel assistant at a veterinary hospital and also did research on bovine diseases. After veterinary school, Dr. Morgan completed a rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, where she earned additional experience in emergency medicine, general practice and in such specialty services as internal medicine, surgery and radiology. Today Dr. Morgan has professional interests in general and preventive medicine, internal medicine, dentistry and pain management.


Dr. Morgan and her husband have a cat named Winston and Sherlock the Labradoodle. Her hobbies include skiing, climbing, running, swimming, knitting and baking.


Rachel Nichols, DVM

Dr. Rachel Nichols grew up on a cattle ranch in Montana. There was no shortage of pets as a child from chickens, ducks, rabbits to horses cattle and sheep, and of course the trusted cats and dogs. She earned her B.S. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology in 2005 and graduated from CSU’s Veterinary Program in 2009. She has worked at multiple clinics in Denver, and practiced in Australia and Alaska. She has done spay/neuter work in Colorado, Montana, South Dakota, Mexico, and the Philippines.

She lives with her husband, two dogs, Millie and Kili, and a meagacat Margot. She enjoys hiking, skiing, and travel.


Laura, CVT

Practice Manager

Laura is a Certified Veterinary Technician, graduating from the Bel-Rea Institute after moving to Colorado from Indiana in 2006. Laura is an excellent veterinary technician, with fantastic skills in the lab.  She is very kind & compassionate, always finding ways to minimize stress for our pet patients.

In her spare time she enjoys exploring the forests, snowboarding, fishing, and playing with her cattle dogs, Johnny, June, and Daisy Dew Drop. She also shares her time and love with Wolfy the cat.


Cortnae 

Lead Veterinary Technician

Cortnae has been a veterinary technician since graduating from Bel-Rea Institute in 1999, and joined the PAHWC team in 2017. 

She is a well-rounded, skilled and experienced technician.  Cortnae acquired her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from MSU in 2004, her Master’s degree in Acupuncture from Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2018, and is continuing to pursue a degree in Chinese herbs.  She is also a certified Yoga instructor.  From working in different veterinary environments to volunteering her time for spay/neuter clinics in Mexico and around the US, her experience is greatly valued here at Park Animal Hospital. 

Cortnae is a Colorado native and lives with her handsome Malamute, Samhain.  She loves learning and growing.

Tina

Christina graduated Bel-Rea Institute in 2017, and has been a technician with PAHWC since 2018.  She is fulfilled by comforting animals in their time of need. 

Christina enjoys crafting and spending time with her pets and friends.  Christina shares her home with Bella the Chihuahua and her two cats, Phineas and Phoebe.  


Rachel

Client Service Representative

Rachel is a transplant from the Chicago-land area.  She lives in Morrison with her fiance, David, and two dogs, Panda and Zola.  She has worked in veterinary client services since 2015.  She is passionate about being a friend to our clients and their furry friends and being emotionally available in times of worry and grief.  In her spare time she enjoys hiking and going to Red Rocks shows.

Cassi

Client Service Representative

After working as a veterinary technician, Cassi left the the veterinary field to pursue a different career path, but soon realized her heart is working with animals.  Cassi joined our CSR team in 2017.  She finds much gratification in helping our clients help their pets. 

Cassi grew up and raised her family here in Colorado.  She is a HUGE Broncos fan who enjoys fishing, camping, and spending time in the country.  Her Red Heeler, Wrangler, is always by her side because he’s a good boy who loves his mom more than anything else in the world!  



Lupe

Client Service Representative

Lupe has been working as a Veterinary CSR since 2016, and has many years of experience as a groomer and doggy day care supervisor.  She has great compassion for our clients and patients, and brings a calm, comforting presence to the hospital.  She lives in Lakewood with her husband, Alberto, and their three daughters.  In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her family and improving her makeup skills as a makeup artist.  


Jessica

Technician Assistant

Jessica grew up in Colorado, and has been working in the veterinary field since 2004.  She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Biology from MSU Denver.  Jessica enjoys making sure every animal in the hospital feels special and loved!  

When she has a little spare time, she enjoys getting away to the mountains with her Australian Shepherds, Atlas and Asteria.  Jessica also loves the arts, dinosaurs, sharks, and a whole lot of coffee.
